World Wrestling Entertainment has announced that Three Time Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Jeremy Piven is slated to act as guest host the August 3rd edition of Monday Night Raw.

Many would ask why the Entourage star would do it. I mean wrestling is fake and he’s a real star right. The way I see it why wouldn’t he do it, back in 2006 Monday Night Raw became the longest running weekly entertainment show, without a hiatus, in television history, on top of that it draws millions of viewers weekly, both male and female. People are money in entertainment and this will expose Piven to millions.

Now I admit to watching wrestling for a few decades on and off and even I don’t really get the whole “Guest Host” idea, I think it kind of sucks if I’m being honest. Why bring somebody in every week to run a scripted show they know nothing about, about a sport “if you can call it that” that they probably don’t even watch?

Of course they all claim to be big wrestling fans, so technically they are only acting for the money right.

I don’t know I guess it’s working for them or it would have stopped weeks ago, having Seth Green last week was pretty funny with him putting himself in the main event and they did make a great call scheduling Piven but that doesn’t mean it was a good idea to have the whole weekly guest host in the first place.

Vince McMahon with all your cash and influence you should really be able to put out a better more focused product than what we have been given in the past six months.
