MLS Soccer Star David Beckham lost his cool big time at the July 18th L.A. Galaxy home game vs. Milan. His reason was simple enough, the Galaxy fans booed every time Beckham touched the ball and by the midway point of the game he had heard about enough from them. David began taunting the fans and at one point needed to be physically restrained as he made an attempt to lay the smack down on one overzealous fan that had apparently jumped the bleachers to teach him a lesson in respect on behalf of the L.A. team’s fans in attendance.

Beckham has had a rough time of late dealing with the fan pressure, but what made him think freaking out in front of them then trying to physically attack one would help is a mystery to me.

Although all seemed forgotten Major League Soccer was yet to say its piece and has announced today that David Beckham will be subjected to “get ready for this” a  whopping $1,000 fine.

But is $1000 in fines really a punishment worth handing out? I mean for a guy like Beckham who is worth millions and is currently less than half way through a 5 Year $250 Million Deal in L.A.

When David was asked if he planned to apologize for his childish rant at the recent game Beckham was quoted as saying he had no intention of apologizing. This could get really interesting quickly, as the fans really seem to hate having him on their team; yet he is locked into a Galaxy contract for over two more years, his contract clearly states Beckham can’t leave the team unless traded until after his 37th birthday.
