Jennifer Hudson, 27 year old former American Idol Finalist, Oscar winner and Dreamgirls star along with her fiance David Otunga welcomed their first son, David Daniel Otunga Jr. as Jen gave birth to a baby boy late Monday night.

While Hudson never publicly confirmed her pregnancy, the singer’s family, fans and friends were extremely excited to get the news, they knew it was a sign of better things to come after the horrific murders of her mother, brother and nephew late last year.

The first round of American Idol auditions are underway, with no Paula to be found, there was however a fitting replacement in the form of former spice girl Victoria Beckham “Posh Spice.”

Fox, who airs the mega hit show announced that both Beckham and Katy Perry would take turns as Abdul’s replacement in the upcoming audition cities, however it’s still unclear as to whether Beckham actually acted as a judge during today’s tryouts and Katy Perry was nowhere to be seen.

Victoria arrived at her Denver hotel on Friday and created a frenzy as a large crowd gathered to take photos and get a quick glimpse of the woman most grew to know as Posh.

When Kara DioGuardi arrived by limo, she joked with reporters that she was wearing a black dress to mourn the loss of fellow Idol Judge Paula Abdul, she also said she wishes Paula would re-consider and join the cast again for season 9.

As we previously reported Abdul sent out a message on her twitter account earlier this week, ending the speculation of many and leaving the show after 8 seasons effective immediately. She has been reluctant to discuss her sudden departure with media outlets.

Former Idol hopeful Melinda Doolittle who finished third in season 6, posted a blog on Friday that Abdul’s departure made her incredibly sad. A group of Paula fans have since created a petition to bring the star back, not sure what good it will do as it was her choice to leave, but if you want to sign it’s

According to several witnesses former American Idol Finalist Constantine Maroulis got his butt whipped Wednesday night, apparently for sticking up for former Idol Judge Paula Abdul who he absolutely adores. Word is Maroulis got into an argument with some random guy at a club about Paula’s recent announcement she was leaving the hit fox show and the conversation got nasty in a hurry with the former Idol hopeful getting pushed, punch and seriously beaten down.

He should really get himself enrolled in some sort of self defence classes though because reports say he didn’t get off one single punch before the melee was quickly broken up.

Maroulis played the whole thing down that night via twitter, he posted the following:

“Haha I’m FINE! Some drunk dude tackled me in the middle of the concert and jumped on me”

Followed shortly thereafter by this tweet:

“Broke up quick, didn’t even know him. Or throw one punch. I don’t mind a fight … but only when its fair and I’m lookin.”

Although Constantine does not mention Abdul in the postings the New York Daily News says a reliable source tells them, without a doubt that’s exactly what the scuffle was all about.

Police have now arrested and charged Daniel Bark 23, with reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in the death of 25 year old former Idol hopeful Alexis Cohen. Alexis was discovered by two people walking up the street in Seaside Heights, New Jersey approximately 350 yards from her own parked vehicle. If the charges are not upgraded and remain as is Daniel Bark could face a possible 15 year prison sentence.

Update: Prosecutors have filed additional charges against Daniel Bark, the 23-year-old Toms River man has now been charged with death by vehicular homicide, aggravated manslaughter plus eluding a law enforcement officer. He won’t be going anywhere soon, Bark’s bail has been set at $150,000

Seems Kelly Clarkson is pissed again at her label, this time it’s for a good reason. While putting together songs for her most recent album she hired songwriter Ryan Tedder to write a song on the album called Already Gone. The song was fantastic, but in what’s best described as a surprising twist, very reminiscent of the cheer peddler from the “Bring It On” cheerleader films. Tedder apparently turned around and sold Beyonce pretty much the exact same track for her most recent effort, re-packaged with a new name and what some would argue are much better lyrics, Priceless!

This Ryan fellow is such an angel he even called it Halo when he re-sold it.

Needless to say when Clarkson was made aware of this disaster she called up her record company, told them about the current situation and basically told them she wanted her next single canned before it was even released. Unfortunately her record company feels she sounds better than Beyonce as they have completely ignored her pleas and released it as scheduled… for the love of money:)

Like I said Kelly is now pissed at her record company for making her look like a tool, when in reality she really should be furious with her songwriter friend Ryan Teddler for his crappy repetitive tracks, how the hell did this guy think he was going to get away with this anyways?

Former American idol hopeful “Glitter Girl” Alexis Cohen was found dead today by two pedestrians in Seaside Heights, New Jersey who discovered her motionless body and alerted local police. Police are saying as of now the 25 year old shows no cause of death known and an autopsy has been scheduled for this afternoon to pinpoint the exact cause of death.

Cohen was featured in a taped video segment during the audition process “see the video below” and tried to make the cut in both the 2008 and 2009 seasons but to her dismay failed to receive a pass to the next round both times.

UPDATE: Authorities have now deemed this case a Homicide and have said that Alexis Cohen suffered head, chest and multiple abdominal injuries as the result of apparently being struck and killed by an automobile. Police are remaining tight lipped and have not disclosed any other information regarding the incident at this time.
