In November 7th, 2008 the unthinkable happened. Two teenage sweethearts, one of them a singing sensation and the other struggling to get her life back on track, came back on the stage after a long tiff. Uniting them was the legendary pop diva, Madonna. The stage, Stop & Sticky Tour, held in the Dodger Stadium California was indeed set for some fireworks. From a singing perspective, any pop lover would have loved to be here.

Quite clearly, from the time the announcement was made that Justin and Britney would be coming together on stage, the paparazzi started rolling in. And before either of the parties realized, this whole event caught the frenzy of the whole nation. If airline bookings had to be believed, there was a wild rush to the West coast for the 7th. Obviously, people wanted to see two things – 1) Does Britney do any better than what she has been notoriously known for some time now? And 2) Would love sparks fly between two exes?

Madonna, on her part played down the curiosity behind the event as a normal get-together of singers. But the fact that Madonna, apart from other singers of this genre could bring them together is a no-brainer. Madonna has previously worked with both these pop stars when they were in their prime. With her being a highly respected figure in the music domain nowadays, it had to be her to bring both of them together.

Let us move ahead and find out what just happened on stage. As was touted before the show, both Britney and Justin hit the stage when Madonna was belting out hit numbers. Madonna of course welcomed Britney with a warm hug. The crowd who seemed to be oblivious of the proceedings suddenly realized the gravity of the emotions flowing on stage, which anyways was not up to the mark because a part of it had collapsed.

It really had to be seen if Justin and Britney would perform together. That would almost sum up a very good night for pop lovers. Justin did start his melody “4 Minutes”, which was well-received by the audience. At least the raucous applause that rent the ambience of the Dodger Stadium is testimony to that. Now, the crowds did really go desperate for Britney to reproduce some of her “Give me Baby one more time” magic. Unfortunately, that did not happen, as Britney left the stage right after Justin completed 4 Minutes.

This surely was one memorable evening, what with the conglomeration of three best pop stars the country would have ever produced. People though were absolutely taken aback by Britney’s appearance. Ms Spears for some time now had generated quite a bit of bad press for all her drug abuse episodes. But here she was in white shirts and black tuxedoes, and surely, she was good enough to take some hearts with her. It though remains unclear, as to why she staged a walkout soon after Justin finished 4 Minutes.

Alex Rodriquez, also known as A-Rod, Madonna’s new boyfriend, has reportedly dropped Kabbalah. Madonna, a dedicated follower of Kabbalah (an off-shoot of Judaism), had also failed to interest her second ex-husband Guy Ritchie (Madonna has also been married to actor Sean Penn) in the religion which he called “weird” and “hokum”. Alex Rodriguez’s indifference has made Madonna rethink the status of their relationship.

According to an insider, “This is certainly off-putting to Madonna. She did drag Guy into Kabbalah, she’s doing the same with Alex. But he’s bored. He’s basically a Kabbalah dropout.” Another insider from the New York Kabbalah Center (where Madonna and Alex Rodriguez have been taking lessons privately) added, “He hasn’t even finished Kabbalah 1 (the introduction to Kabbalah) and the majority of the time he spent with Yardeni so far was for counseling, not study.”

This happened despite the fact that Alex Rodriguez, who has also just recently split from wife Cynthia Rodriguez, had mentioned to a friend that he felt that Madonna was his “f*%king soulmate, dude.”

Madonna has told the press that she’s being kept busy by her “Sticky and Sweet” tour, so she’s been too distracted to focus on her personal life. She said, “It would be horrible if I was just thinking about getting a divorce and had nothing to do.” Madonna, who has three children, has also mentioned that she feels grateful for having such a successful career and said, “I’m sad about my personal life, but I feel very blessed and very lucky that I have the opportunity to do what I do in my professional life.”

On the other hand, Madonna’s relationship with her ex-husband Sean Penn seems to be quite good compared to her other rocky relationships. They’ve been spotted together in the New York area, specifically at the Greenwich Hotel where they drank after one of her concerts. It has been reported that Sean has been helping Madonna emotionally. However, it seems that the old flame will not be rekindled since an insider noted, “They have a nice rapport. There’s nothing romantic there. They’re just good friends.”
