Well it seems that one time around was enough for daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres who announced yesterday that despite inking a two year deal with American Idol producers last year that she would not be returning to the show this coming season. Although it’s a surprise to Ellen’s fans it’s not a surprise for show producers as DeGeneres says she told American Idol producers months ago that it didn’t feel like a right fit for her. Claiming her reasoning was a mix of scheduling conflicts and the fact that while she loved nurturing talent, she feels “It was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings.”

While long-time fans of the show have watched it slowly sink as its mainstay staff, has jumped ship so to speak. Others feel that the show needed a change and it certainly is not the same show it was just a few years back. While the shows most popular and talked about judge Simon Cowell will not be returning it’s still unclear who will replace him, Internet rumors have put several popular folks in his chair. Some of Cowell’s replacements are rumored to be Piers Morgan, Bret Michaels, Avril Lavigne, Howard Stern, David Foster, Jessica Simpson just to name a few.

It would appear Idol has already found Ellen’s replacement and it appears it is none other than Jennifer Lopez, Idol insiders report that the superstar singer has already accepted one of the two vacant judges’ chairs on the Idol panel and the two sides are ironing out contracts right now. Apparently it’s as good as a done deal, the two don’t have much figuring to do as the same source has reported that Lopez was offered an identical contract to the one Ellen signed just last year in terms of money and duration and is fine with that. So in my opinion this is a step up for the show after all Jennifer Lopez has sold millions of albums worldwide and is definitely more qualified to be judging vocalists than DeGeneres ever was.

Although Lopez’s career has all but disappeared in the past 5 years or so I really think she is much like Paula Abdul was when she started the show, they have both had stellar solo careers and can sing, dance and act. So great job Idol in this selection, you have finally done something I agree with!

Well, it’s official Actress/Singer Lindsay Lohan is locked up and has begun serving a 90-day jail sentence of which she will probably serve around 23 days in the big house, all this for violating her probation.

She surrendered to authorities and was placed in handcuffs early Tuesday morning after a very brief appearance in Beverly Hills court. Lindsay will serve her time at Lynwood Correctional Facility a woman’s jail, where she will be kept in isolation and as you can see in her new mug shot, Lilo has already been issued her standard orange prison jumpsuit.

Due, in part to the massive overcrowding found in prisons in California she will only serve a fraction of her sentence in jail before heading straight to rehab. Lohan won’t have any time, to do anything upon her getting out of jail as the judge has ordered her into rehab within 24 hours of her release.

Lohan had been on probation since 2007 because of drunk-driving and drug-possession charges and got herself in deep water with a judge’s ruling earlier this month that the actress violated her probation multiple times by missing countless court-ordered alcohol education classes.

Television Personality Rachael Ray has been searching high and low for Chicago’s best hot dog; she has narrowed it down to just three locations. Superdawg, The Weiner’s Circle and Jimmy’s Red Hots are the front-runners and Ray will announce the winner at 10 am this Friday Morning!

Rachael has recently been focusing on promoting healthy school lunch advocacy along with a program set to plant healthy food in vegetable gardens near city schools. The food mavens Yum-o! Well folks it been a few weeks since we learned of the Jim Carey and Jenny McCarthy split. Let me tell you this 37 year old Actress/Model has moved on fast. McCarthy was spotted with a new mystery man just this past weekend shortly after leaving a dinner date at the N9NE Steakhouse inside the Palms Casino resort in Vegas.

Last week sources close to McCarthy had told us that Jenny had moved on and sure enough, she has now been spotted with a new man. The two were partying at the Playboy Club and were said to be out celebrating Cinco de Mayo, that’s when Jenny was seen locking lips with her new boy toy.

So apparently she’s moved on just a month after splitting with five year boyfriend Jim Carey. This is where things get really messed up though. After several members of the media trying to hunt down the new friends identity they put forth the question “Who is this guy anyways?”

Well don’t ask Jenny because she claims she doesn’t know who it was! “Yes, I kissed a mystery man in Vegas; everyone wants to know who he is or what his name is . . . . So would I. Lol.”

Weird Al Yankovic’s recording days are fading fast, sure he was fantastic 20 years ago but it’s time to move over and let a new parody king take his place and as luck would have it I have found our man. For the last several years I have been following YouTube sensation James@War, he’s not just good, but one of those guys that everyone tells constantly he could be the next big thing. The next “Weird Al” you say? Let’s face it folks Al hasn’t been the hit making recording artist we used to love for years now.

If you are a YouTube user, chances are that you or someone you know has most likely seen James’s videos. That’s a big claim I know but as of this writing James has 1,696,825 Channel Views and a staggering 34,192,597 Video Views since he signed up back on August 10, 2007

118,226 of those viewers liked him so much they actually signed in and became his Subscribers.

The craziest thing is that no one has yet come forward and signed this incredible artist to a major record deal. I do realize these are parodies and there is not a huge market for that sort of music but seriously, we all like to laugh and not only does James at War compete with Weird Al, he destroys him hands down. He is much more cutting edge, at least twice as funny in my opinion and the fact he heavily incorporates himself and his family into his parody recreations is one of the strongest points of impact when it comes to viewers listening, laughing and ultimately judging his newly released tracks.

I personally enjoyed Weird Al back when I was 14 years old, I remember how excited I was when I got the Alapalooza Cassette for Christmas back in ’93 but the truth is that Weird Al really missed a beat somewhere shortly thereafter, I don’t think he ever found it again. I hadn’t heard a great parody in about 15 years but that all changed when I went searching on YouTube one day for the Nickelback video Rockstar, in the results I found the parody Popstar by this James@War fellow.

I laughed so hard, then re-watched it like five more times, then I added it to my Facebook, then I told everyone I talked to about it for days. I checked out most of his other songs and also really liked the Akon – Blame It On Me spoof about the Xbox release of Halo 3, its calculated release perfectly coincided with the Halo phenomenon that was hitting the nation at just the right time.

Like any independent artist all the songs that are posted on the web channel aren’t perfect, some I don’t really get at all, but most are home-runs. They have incredibly well thought out lyrics, written and delivered with personality. The video edits James makes could be better, but are still pretty special considering what he has to work with.

I’ll assume James is waiting for the big guns, as I’m almost certain he has been approached by several small time studio owners in the past few years looking to record his stuff and make a quick buck. What I think James and the rest of the world needs is somebody with real smarts to step forward take a chance, sign him to something major, he already has devoted fans, these albums can and will sell, there is not a better parody artist out there.

Mark Gordon will soon produce a New Line/Warner Bros. remake of the 1980 hit comedy Private Benjamin. The film will star actress Anna Faris as the leading lady. Writer Amy Talkington will re-write the script into a current times story with connections to the modern wars. I think Faris is the perfect candidate to replace original star Goldie Hawn, if there’s any young actress who can handle the job, without a doubt it’s Anna Faris.

Although I am not a huge fan of remakes this one might actually work! The House Bunny star is usually the best thing about any film she stars in, and makes even mediocre films worth seeing.

The original film followed Hawn as Judy Benjamin, a spoiled young girl who joined the Military after her husband collapses then dies while the two are engaged in sex on their wedding night. The new version promises to remain true to the female empowerment theme of the original but in a more current state.

When the Black Eyed Peas re-emerged on the music scene last year after a long absence they brought a new fresh sound, it’s hard not to dance to their blockbuster hit Boom Boom Pow right? So yes they managed to successfully spring right back onto the worldwide entertainment scene, but the only problem is… Get this, it turns out they totally ripped off the track!

I didn’t believe it at first either; after all we hear about these accusations all the time right? The story of an unknown artist who is trying to make a name for themselves, suddenly filing suit against a big star, who supposedly ripped off their tunes; however folks in this instance it seems to be completely true.

Musician Phoenix Phenom and her co-writer claim that the track Boom Boom Pow is actually a re-worked version of a song they had previously submitted to Interscope records titled Boom Dynamite. They are adamant that the group stole their song, switched it up a little bit and relabeled it Boom Boom Pow all without paying a dime or even giving them their due credit.

While we can’t prove that the Peas ever heard the original track or even the date that it was submitted to the record company one thing is for sure. This is the same song! Obviously there have been lyric changes etc. But in all my years listening and reviewing thousands of tracks I have never been so sure that I was listening to a bigger rip off than Boom Boom Pow.

Don’t take my word for it though, check out the Stolen Song below, I think you will quickly see that there is no way this isn’t the inspiration for the hit track that put the Black Eyed Peas back on the music map. It’s actually pretty sad considering the writing abilities of Will.I.Am, Fergie and the other guys, why would you rip off somebody and look like fools when your group is easily talented enough to write your own tunes.

Now I usually think these cases are baseless, but mark my words, Interscope and the Black Eyed Peas are going to lose this case and take a knockout hit to the wallet when all is said and done.

44 year old actor Andy Dick, was arrested around 4 a.m. Saturday by Huntington Police, Dick was in Huntington for weekend performances at the Funny Bone comedy club. Andy has been charged with two felony counts of first-degree sexual abuse and is being held at the Western Regional Jail, awaiting arraignment.

Police are releasing no details surrounding his arrest, but Dick is expected to be arraigned sometime after noon by video conference with a magistrate at the Cabell County Courthouse. This is not Andy’s first run in with police; he was previously arrested in California on suspicion of drug possession and sexual battery. He allegedly grabbed and pulled down the tank-top of a 17-year-old girl, exposing her breasts in 2008.

However in 2007 he received a citation by Columbus Police for urinating on a sidewalk and building plus he also was escorted from “Jimmy Kimmel Live” for repeatedly touching the breasts of guest Ivanka Trump without her permission. Dick’s troubles don’t end there though as in 2005 he dropped his pants and exposed his genitals to the audience at one of his comedy shows; in 2004 he was arrested for indecent exposure outside a popular fast food restaurant.

Believe it or not folk’s, that’s not all there’s more, in 1999 Dick was arrested for possession of cocaine and marijuana following an arrest for driving his car into a telephone pole in Hollywood. Calls to the “Funny Bone” indicate that they believe Andy will be released and is still scheduled for his show later tonight!

For those of you who don’t know Farmville mania has swept the nation over the last few months. It’s a Facebook application which now rivals Twitter in overall usage. Everyone is playing this Zynga created application it along with its counterpart’s café world and Fishville. In fact over 26.5 million players are online at any given time playing this free interactive game that allows you to grow and manage your very own farm, you hire friends, family and neighbors to do everything from fertilizing your fields to plowing and so much more, also very popular is cafeworld a similar games where you prepare and sell all kinds of food items eventually becoming a master chef, if I’m being honest I have never played Fishville so I can’t really give you an accurate description.

Celebrities have been quietly coming out of the woodwork lately confessing that they too are Farmville Addicts. Some have even admitted to playing for up to four hours a day! The list of rumored celebrities said to be living it up on the farm in their spare time include the likes of Lady Gaga, Wyclef Jean, AnnaLynne McCord, Avril Lavigne, Ellen and even Rachael Ray.

So what makes these games so addicting? I believe it’s the fact that you really can’t loose, I mean of course your crops can fail if you don’t harvest them in time or your food will go bad and attract flies and not customers in café world, you may even have a fish or two die on you in Fish Ville but all in all what’s not to love about a game you can’t loose?

The other part of course is the fact if you play according to the rules you can advance and upgrade at a very fast pace, people love to fantasize about their dream home or farm or cafe and with these apps you can have that huge farmhouse you always wanted in weeks not decades. My Point is everyone has a dream and this gives some a feeling of accomplishment, even though it’s not real as long as a human being can see themselves doing a better job than someone else they are good to go. With so many new members signing up every day you can be sure you are doing better than someone and this in turn makes you believe you are having a grand old time playing away!

If I’ve got you thinking about checking it out keep in mind a few things, first don’t cheat, really what’s the point of setting up the farm or cafe if you cheated and missed out on most of the adventure anyways? I do however agree you can always read a bit about the application and even find some very helpful tips to get you going in the right direction. I have personally bought and tried over 20 different “Farmers Handbooks” or “Secrets Of Farmville” type e-books and you guessed it 99% of them taught me nothing I couldn’t have figured out all by myself. I did however get lucky finally and found a few that delivered on their promises and really worked well for me, last week I even talked to a few others that used these in online forums about their luck with the products to be sure I wasn’t the only one to find them useful.
